People with a high “O” value on the OCEAN model defining one’s personality, are activated by showing them exciting things.
New ways of looking at things. Innovative, inspiring ideas, emotions, and content that’ll spark a “Oh woah that’s so cool.. never thought of it that way!”

That’s why I’m so fascinated by psychology, personality, and human behavior in communications.. if you REALLY understand people.. you’ll know how to activate them for whatever it is you have for ‘em!

During my College Tour I got to speak at the @bredauniversityas about innovative media strategies.

We got to stop seeing potential fans, voters, or followers as robots 🤖
Stop categorizing your audience in just demographics “White young professional females from the big city” ❌

No! In that audience of “white young professional females from the big city” are introverted book worms worrying about their family during these uncertain times. But some of them might be the typical social butterflies that go on vacation without a map and get lost, every time! 😂

Stop viewing your audience as one. Inside your audience are numerous segments of REAL PEOPLE.
People with opinions, values, interests, personality.
Knowing those will give you the power to activate those people to do what you need them to do, by distributing content that’ll make ‘em feel heard!

And I use the infamous O-C-E-A-N model to map people’s personalities and to come up with media strategies to activate them on an individual level 😏

The real power in communications is in psychology.

Sure they are great, sure the recognition for your craft is nice, yeah it will up your numbers (not even always) but mannnnnnn will a tech company from Sweden really define your career???!!!!?? Like… that’s it?! Right??!

Here’s a newsflash for you: if you’re not in the top regions of New Music Friday, that playlist won’t do shit for you, other than pleasing your ego.
